I am new to the mechanics of a blog. I have started one on another occasion but have not continued to update. Oddly enough I started the blog at the end of 2007 and two years passed before I attempted another post on 12/31/2009.
One of my goals for this year was to begin writing. I have always enjoyed writing and won some contests as a teenager in writing. Over the years I have journaled thoughts and emotions with pen and paper somewhat regularly. And every Sunday you will find me with pen in hand taking notes, making observations, and even illustrating the sermon being delivered by the minister.
It is therapeutic to express myself in words–whether to indicate displeasure or satisfaction. However, yielding to the guise of “protecting others feelings and opinions” I have been hesitant to make an honest effort at blogging. Although I live a blessed life, I have a painful past. My desire is to press past the pain and present the treasures that came from the trials. Who knows where this journey will lead, but again I am intrigued with the possibility of sharing my heart and stories along two topics–Lessons Learned & the Tennessee Truth–both of which one day I hope result in books. So join me as I begin this journey, and if you can stand the randomness that results, post comments about your favorites or “leave-this-outs.” Depending on how well you know me, get ready to meet some characters that absolutely must be introduced because you just might find a hidden reference to you in one of the tales that I spin. Regardless of your interest, know that this I choose to do…ON PURPOSE!
So, here we go…
