Moving Forward…

In July I went to the COG General Assembly in Orlando on the night that Israel Houghton was the worship leader. I must say that it was AWESOME! It was quite the experience to watch him lead worship. I even went home to rewatch on the Internet. It was easy to feel the anointing of the Holy Spirit moving through the convention center.

Other than the experience of seeing/hearing Israel “in concert,” that night has left me with a new mantra that has come from one of the songs that he sings, “Moving Forward.” Let me explain…

Several years ago I began adopting words or phrases that were to encourage me during that season in my life–slogans if you will. I am sure I will get to sharing those later as I write about “Lessons Learned.” At any rate, I have had this song in my spirit since that night in July… (I am copying the lyrics here for you to read)

I am so excited in my spirit. I believe that God has done all these things for me:

1. He brought me to this moment
2. I have freedom in Him
3. He’s my Healer 
4. He makes all things new
5. I’m not going back, I’m moving ahead
6. My past is over
7. I’ve surrendered my life to Christ
8. He has risen with all power in His hand
9. He has given me a second chance
10. I will follow Him forward…..

So…although I don’t know where I’m headed, I am Moving Forward…thank you, Israel, and Thank You, Father God!!!

For sure I am Moving Forward…ON PURPOSE!
